This post teaches you how to host an iconic game of Bridal Shower Jeopardy.
What is bridal shower Jeopardy?
Bridal Shower Jeopardy is a popular bridal shower game that’s always a crowd favorite. Just like the Jeopardy game show, there are categories and levels of questions that guests will answer. For Bridal Shower Jeopardy, the question categories are about the couple getting married or weddings/love in general.
While it’s guaranteed to be fun for guests to play, a lot of thought goes into creating and hosting the game. This game requires a host who knows how to work a crowd, and the bridal shower jeopardy questions need to be intriguing to keep everyone engaged.
How to play bridal shower jeopardy
Playing Jeopardy is relatively easy, but you do need to ensure the host keeps the game moving and enforces any rules.
First, it’s best practice to divide the guests into 3-4 teams, depending on your number of guests. Then, the host will introduce themselves and how the game works. While this is happening, give each team a bell or a buzzer, which can be an app on someone’s phone.
Start this game by asking the host to explain the rules and any bonus items in the game (like a daily double). Then, the first team will start by selecting their category and “level” or amount for which they will try to answer. For example, the first team says, “Wedding for 300.”
If the team answers the question correctly, they receive the number of points associated with that question – for this example, 300 points. Alternatively, if they don’t answer the question correctly, the first team that hits their bell or buzzer gets to answer the question and receive those points.
Traditionally, a team can continue selecting categories and answering bridal shower Jeopardy questions until they answer incorrectly. You can choose to play like this or have a new team select and try to answer each question.
Once all the questions have been answered, it’s time for the “Final Jeopardy.” Before revealing this question to all teams, ask them to wager a number of their points on a piece of paper so it’s not revealed to the other teams. This wager can range from 1 point to their entire score.
Next, the host reads the Final Jeopardy question to the room. Each team has time to deliberate, where they write their answer on a piece of paper. This portion is timed, usually at 1-2 minutes. The host reveals the answer, and each team’s points (whether added or subtracted) are recorded.
Finally, the host announces the winning team. Use this moment to give the winning team a prize that works as their bridal shower favor.
Picking The Best Format
To host the Bridal Shower Jeopardy game, you need a space to display the categories and questions.
As you decide which format is best, take stock of your venue. If it’s possible to have a projector and screen, consider creating an electronic Jeopardy board using an online template.
If an electronic Jeopardy board isn’t an option, you’ll have to get crafty!
You can create a Jeopardy board out of poster board and note cards or design one online and have it printed. Remember, you’ll need a way to “flip” cards over to reveal the question behind the number of points it’s worth.
If creating one from scratch isn’t your cup of tea, there are a few options from creators on Etsy!

Since the bridal shower is made up of people who know the couple getting married, it’s typical to have one category that asks questions about one person, and another category about the other person.
